An "Earn While Your Learn" program, he Electrical Training Alliance of Jacksonville has been a Registered Electrical Apprenticeship since 1945.​ The Electrical Training Alliances of Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Gainesville produce the most highly qualified electrical apprentices and journey-worker professionals in the field today. An affiliation with the Electrical Training Alliance, the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Powering America of North Florida strives for excellence in attitude, skill and leading edge knowledge of the electrical industry.





The recruitment, selection, employment and training of apprentices , will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older except the applicant must be 18 years of age to apply

Qualifications for the Apprenticeship Program:                        

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with one credit of Algebra.

  • 18 Years of Age (Birth Certificate required).

  • Physically able to perform the work.

  • Possess a valid drivers license.

  • Must obtain a qualifying score on the Electrical Trades Aptitude Test.

*Veterans must furnish us their copy of DD214 with re-enlistment code at bottom OR

an individual who can verify that they have worked a minimum of 2000 hours specially in the electrical construction trade.
